I watched a presentation at a recent AffiliateWorld event. The topic was "influencer" marketing on YouTube. The speaker told a good story, but it seemed out of place, and I couldn't understand what he had to gain by telling it to a theater full of affiliates.
As I watched a video replay of the presentation I came up with a theory on why he was really up there, and it goes deep. Google and YouTube seemed to have a lot to gain by what he was saying. Could they have put this speaker on the stage to make his presentation?
